Craft Beer is not only "For the Boys"
One could argue that Saturdays are, "for the boys" but it would be an unjust argument to say that craft beer is only, "for the boys". To start this off, my friend, The Beer Broad, would definitely pick out a better beer than me. But numbers also defend my claim that craft beer isn't just for the boys.
According to a study done by the Brewers Association, women drink around 25% of all craft beer in America. That means, if you had a group of 4 craft beer drinkers, one of them is going to be a woman. A study done by Stanford in 2014, found that 4% of all brew masters are women.
The Craft Beer Program Director for the Brewers Association is a woman by the name of Julia Herz. The Director of Beer Wars is a woman by the name of Anat Baron. A Consultant for Master Cicerone, (a certification that claims you have a superior taste pallet), is a woman by the name of Nicole Erny. I could list some of the women who are co-owners, brew masters, and work directly with craft beer, but it I think it is evident women are not only involved in the industry, but they are shaping the industry.
So yes, Saturdays are for the boys, but craft beer is for everybody.
